A man arrested at a Donald Trump rally in Las Vegas told police he wanted to grab an officer’s gun so he could kill Trump, according to a complaint filed in Nevada court.

The suspect, identified as Michael Steven Sandford, was charged with an act of violence on restricted grounds.

The complaint alleges Sandford approached an officer, saying he wanted an autograph from the presumptive Republican nominee.

He then attempted to seize the gun by grabbing the holster and handle, but was promptly arrested.

He reportedly told officers he drove from California to kill Trump and went to a gun range the day before to learn to shoot.
