The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for Monday’s attack at Ohio State University that injured nine.
The terror group’s Amaq News Agency on Tuesday claimed the attack, carried out by an 18-year-old Ohio State student, was perpetrated by a “soldier of the Islamic State.”
Authorities have not commented on what motivated the attack but could not rule out the possibility of terrorism.
Abdul Razak Ali Artan hit a crowd of pedestrians with a car before stabbing several people with a butcher knife Monday morning on Ohio State’s campus.
Artan was killed by an officer at the scene.
Nine people were injured but are expected to make full recoveries.
