Top intelligence officials provided Donald Trump last week with classified documents including allegations that Russian operatives claim to have “compromising personal and financial information” about Trump, CNN reported on Tuesday.

Additionally, according to CNN reporters Evan Perez, Jim Sciutto, and Jake Tapper, and legendary reporter Carl Bernstein, “The two-page synopsis also included allegations that there was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government, according to two national security officials.”

From CNN:

The information was reportedly considered so sensitive that it was not included in a classified document about the Russian hacking that was distributed, but instead shared with just President Obama, President-elect Trump, and the eight most senior congressional leaders.
